The invention of TORtec Forschungsinstitut GmbH (Switzerland) relates to agriculture, crop production and biological plant protection which can be used for growing plants in closed or open ground conditions, as well as for recultivating or enriching poor soils and desert sand, for germinating seeds and seedlings.
Effective cultivation of plants in the desert and poor soils depends largely on the selection of soil substrate and its composite components for open and closed soils using local raw materials - desert sands and / or poor soils, consisting mainly of silicon dioxide, while taking into account the physical, chemical, biological properties of the initial components and components that determine the nature and properties of the resulting soil substrates-combinants.
Nutrient solutions for aeroponics
Aeropotics is the process of growing plants in air without using soil, in which nutrients are delivered to the roots of plants as an aerosol. Unlike hydroponics, which uses water as a substrate, saturated with essential minerals and nutrients to support plant growth, the aeroponic method of growing plants does not involve the use of a soil substrate.
Plant cultivation of plants is considered a safe and environmentally friendly way to obtain natural, healthy plants and crops. Also, the additional environmental benefits of aeroponics are the saving of water and energy. Compared to conventional plant cultivation, aeroponics implies lower water consumption and energy costs per unit of production.
For the first time, TOR developed:
